 Air-Fried Bourbon Chicken Skewers

These air-fried bourbon chicken skewers are packed with sweet, savory, and smoky flavors. Marinated in a rich bourbon glaze, they cook up perfectly juicy and caramelized in the air fryer—no grill needed!

Ingredients:
1 ½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
¼ cup bourbon
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
½ teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Wooden skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes)
Directions:
Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, whisk together the bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, ketchup, vinegar, olive oil, garlic, ginger, paprika, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Add the chicken pieces and toss to coat. Cover and marinate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for deeper flavor).

Prepare the Skewers: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the soaked wooden skewers.

Air Fry the Skewers: Lightly grease the air fryer basket and place the skewers in a single layer. Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is caramelized and cooked through (internal temp: 165°F/74°C).

Glaze & Serve: Brush the skewers with any leftover marinade and cook for 1 more minute. Remove from the air fryer and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.

Enjoy: Garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds, and serve with rice or a fresh salad!
